There is Healing for your life

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though
they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but
if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." Isaiah 1:18-20

The first part of this verse is an invitation with love from God to His children, that's you and me, saying that He will forgive us from our sins, from all the wrong things that we did in the past. The second half of this passage does sound scary ... yes, it is a real strong warning to you and me about the outcome of our attitude towards this invitation from our loving God. If you think that this part of the passage is a little intimidating ... jus hang on and let me explain this to you. I would like to explain this passage bottom up (from the last verse to the first).

Let's ask ourselves this question now ... "Did I do all of those wrong things or commit all those sins, which I did in the past, willingly and with joy? Or Did my circumstances compel me to do those wrong things?" I bet most of us would be able to identify ourselves with the second question, or say a big YES to the second question. And during all of those times when we gave in to our circumstances, wasn't there an inner voice telling us not to do that wrong thing ... but then we resisted and rebelled against that inner voice and continued with that sin? My friend, I'm pretty sure that you and I have been in that spot many a time in life. Now take a look again at the very last line of this passage which says that If you rebel and resist, you will be devoured by the sword. There's another verse in the bible that says that The wages of sin is death. For all those wrong things we did, we deserved to be devoured by the sword, we deserved a strong punishment.

The middle line of this passage says that if we are willing and obedient, we will eat the best from the land. But even though we, by ourselves, try to be obedient to that inner voice, we just aren't able to make it up. Yes, you and I love to have the best for our life, but we, by our human strength, are not able to live up to such a standard of obedience and experience a blessed life.

There once lived a Judge, who was known to be truthful and prompt in his duties. Once, there was brought to his court, a girl who broke the traffic rule by passing the
Yellow Line on the Main Road. The judge declared the girl to be guilty and fined her 250 dollars. As the girl stood there in panic, the judge stepped down from his chamber and paid that 250 dollars from his own pocket ... because that girl was his own daughter. That judge was a righteous person, dutiful, but at the same time loving. This God whom I'm talking about is a righteous person. For all those rebellious acts that we did, we deserve the wages of our sins, which is death. But the beauty of this righteous God is that He is Loving.

In order for us to be
judged and at the same time be loved, this loving God sent His own Son Jesus Christ to die in our stead, thus having the wages of our sins paid. You may have heard this before ... but I want to reassure you even now that Jesus DID pay the price for all of our sins even until today. My friend, the bible says that if you only believe even at this moment, with all your heart, that Jesus died in your place to pay for all your sins and thank Him for that great sacrifice that He made for you and invite Him into your life, you will be saved ... saved from all the wages of your past wrong doings ... free from all the guilt that you've been carrying all your life until this day. If you try to comprehend this truth with your human mind you will just not be able to understand this great love which Jesus has for you.

Though your sins are like scarlet or red as crimson ... though they are the worst things that you could have ever done ... though they are wrong doings which even you can't forgive yourself for, it don't matter to Him, He is willing to forgive you right now. That's how big our God's love is. He looks beyond all those actions of yours and with His loving arms open wide, He is waiting for you to turn to Him. My friend,
there's healing for your life even today. Please don't let this day pass you by without experiencing the love of God in your life. May I encourage you to call on the Name of Jesus, invite Him to take control of your life and when you do so I'm sure you will experience the love of Jesus in your life and then you will know that you are indeed free from all your past sins and the guilt that came along with those sins.

May God bless you as you commit your life to Him.

Have a blessed day!!!

Your friend,
Eshcol
