He will lift you up
The righteous will be lifted up ... Psalm 75:10
Most people in this world work hard to do well in life. Some desire to have a better standard of living, some work hard
towards higher education, some try to become rich and famous. The ultimate goal is to stand up tall among their peers. Yes,
there's nothing wrong in aspiring and working to become great ... In fact it is a healthy and good sign when a man desires to grow up and
become great in this short span of life God has given him.
But let's
not forget the one great ingredient to becoming great and blessed in life ... and that's the
Grace of God. Before you could
continue to read this short message of mine to you, I request you to first read the whole chapter of Psalm 75 and you will
understand what God requires of us to make us big and strong.
David (the one who wrote the book of Psalms) was the youngest in his family. He was a shepherd boy taking care of his
dad's sheep out in the fields. Yet, David did his job humbly and faithfully and above all he was a guy who stayed close to
his Creator God, singing praises to Him with his harp while tending his sheep. For years David's friends and
neighbors would have seen him as just a shepherd boy. But God had a different plan for David's life. God knew that David deserves to be
raised to a higher position than being a shepherd boy and He did so in His own sweet and blessed time.
When the whole world saw "a shepherd boy" in David, God saw "a King" in
David.
Likewise, in the life of Joseph, when his brothers saw Joseph as a slave sold to an Egyptian, when the his fellow-prisoners
saw him as yet another prisoner, God saw "a Ruler" in
Joseph.
My friend, I don't know in what kind of a situation you are reading this message. But I would like to encourage you by saying that God has a divine time allocated for your elevation ... be it your career or your standard of living or your financial situation. He just asks of us to be humble and trusting in Him, because the bible says that it is God who judges. He brings one down, He exalts another. When wicked people in your environment rise up to higher grounds, don't feel sad ... But just remember this and thank God, for God will lift you up in His time. Don't try to push your way up the ladder, don't try to elevate yourself before God's time. The bible says "The blessing of the Lord makes us rich and He adds no sorrow to it". When God lifts us up in His time according to His divine plan for our lives, there's no trace of sorrow in such a life.
So, spend this day with great joy in your heart and give thanks to God for He is going to elevate you soon !!! Amen !!!
Have a blessed day!!!
Your friend,
Eshcol
