Trust in the LORD

There are multiple facets to this verse. It can be called an advice, a command, a promise, a blessing, an experience ... name it and you have it in this verse. This verse has ministered to me all my life and I'm sure that if you could make this verse your lifetime experience, you can be sure of a blessed and successful life on this earth.

Take a moment to reflect back over the life that you have lived thus far and check out what your answer for the following questions would be.

* Have there been times in your life when you were not sure of what the next day has in store for you?
* Have you had sleepless nites worrying about how you are going to handle a difficult situation the next day?
* In all of those times, who or what were you putting your trust on?
* In all of such times, have you ever tried doing what the above-mentioned verse tells or were you struggling to fight it out with your own human weak strength?

If you would ask me these questions, I would say that I did have my share of rough times in life, I've had my times of joys and sorrows, but thru it all I have learnt to trust in the Lord. Indeed I'm thankful to God for taking me thru those times of troubles, because if I've never had a problem, I'd never have known that God can solve those kind of problems, I'd never have known what faith in God could do.

My friend, I can tell you for sure that if you and I can make this verse a lifetime experience, this verse will help us stand the test of life. We can be sure that our life will ever be fruitful and successful when we just do the following four simple things,

* Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ with all our heart - Know He is in control of every situation of our life
* Lean not on our own understanding - Let's not break our head over our troubles, wondering how God is ever going to handle it, 'cos He knows what's best for you.
* In all our ways acknowledge Him - Know that He is there with us in every walk of our life
* Experience the way He would make our paths straight - Let Him lead us with His love.

I don't know what you are struggling with in life right now ... or maybe there's something that you are expecting God to work in your life. May I encourage you today to put your trust in the Lord Jesus. Don't try to comprehend this limitless God with your limited human brain, if you do so, you will never understand even a pint of what He's upto in your life, so don't bother much about HOW He's going to solve the issues you are facing. Jus trust Him and then you will see for yourself the magnificent way He would make your paths straight and lead you to blessing !!!
